Quickly find your coverage factors to calculate uncertainty using this custom calculator and Student’s T Table. This calculator is made in Microsoft Excel and will help you find the coverage factor for 90%, 95%, 95.45%, 99%, and 99.73% confidence intervals.
Two ways to find your coverage factors:
- Custom Student’s T Table
- Microsoft Excel Calculator
How it works
All you need to do is select your confidence interval, enter your degrees of freedom, and the calculator will do the rest. If you are using the Student’s T Table, find the column that matches your confidence interval (e.g. 95%). Next, find the row that matches your degrees of freedom (e.g. 19). Where the column and row intersect, you will find your coverage factor.
If you use the calculator, first select your confidence interval from the drop down menu. Next, input your degrees of freedom and the calculator will automatically calculate your coverage factor. Great tool if you calculate uncertainty in measurement!
