Preparing for An ISO 17025 Audit
Are you seeking ISO 17025 accreditation? Whether it is your first ISO 17025 audit or a renewal assessment, this guide will help you be better prepared! In this 12 page guide, I will show you the 23 most critical items to be ready for your ISO 17025 audit.
Taking Control of Your Audit
Being prepared for your assessment is not just bringing your quality manual and standard operating procedures to the table when meeting your auditors. It is about controlling the audit! By preparing the right materials in advance, you can have every piece of documentation and report requested by your assessor readily available.
No more…
- Scrambling to find paperwork,
- Letting your auditors search your records,
- Running up the cost of your accreditation audit
Inspiration For This Guide
I wrote this guide based on my ISO 17025 audit experiences with A2LA. Each assessment, I made notes for items requested by auditors, things that wasted time, and situations that made my lab vulnerable to getting more deficiencies.
Instead of sitting on butt and taking deficiencies, I took action! I reviewed my notes, analyzed data, and developed a plan that put me in control of my assessment. By knowing what documents and materials auditors were going to ask to see and review, I made sure that they were readily available; and, I mean on the table in front of them.
The Results
As a result, I have been able to reduce the number of deficiencies cited in my ISO 17025 audit by controlling what auditors have access to and not giving them more time (sitting around) to dig deeper. Additionally, I have lowered the average cost of each ISO 17025 audit by 40%.
By following my guide and easy to use checklist, you too can take control of your audit.
