A 3-DAY ONLINE COURSE to learn how to:
CALCULATE UNCERTAINTY IN CHEMISTRY
An online course with video lessons and demonstrations that will teach you how to estimate uncertainty and create uncertainty budgets with simple to follow instructions.
LEARN HOW TO CALCULATE MEASUREMENT UNCERTAINTY IN CHEMISTRY
Finally, a measurement uncertainty training course for accredited chemistry laboratories.
This course is a complete introduction and application of estimating uncertainty in chemistry. It is best suited for chemical testing labs that perform sample analysis using high-performance liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, and mass spectrometry. Students should expect to learn all of the concepts and techniques needed to estimate measurement uncertainty, create uncertainty budgets, and report uncertainty in test reports.
It is a comprehensive measurement uncertainty training course that teaches much more than other courses. The goal of this course is to take you from zero to expert using easy step by step instructions and demonstrations, so you can prepare for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation.
The key things that you will learn in this course are:
- Statistically, analyze your own data and processes
- Estimate measurement uncertainy using the GUM method
- Create uncertainty budgets
- Report uncertainty in test certificates
This is an online class based on the EUROCHEM guide and the Guide to Estimating Uncertainty in Measurement (GUM). Additionally, it teaches ISOBudgets’ unique 7-step process to estimate uncertainty in measurement; a repeatable system that will help you estimate uncertainty for almost any process.
You will learn the exact same processes that I use to estimate uncertainty.
When you enroll, you will get access to the following content:

HOW IT WORKS
Completing this course and learning how to estimate uncertainty is a pretty simple process. Just follow these 4 steps:
- Login to access the course,
- Watch the lectures,
- Watch the demonstrations,
- Start estimating uncertainty,
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is recommended for laboratory personnel that will that need to estimate uncertainty to create uncertainty budgets and develop the scope of accreditation for ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Here is a list of the most common people that join my courses:
- Quality Managers,
- Technical Managers,
- Quality Control Personnel,
Most laboratories train one person to estimate measurement uncertainty. In my experience, it is best to give measurement uncertainty training to at least 2 people so you are covered in case someone leaves the company or retires.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long do I have access to the course?
You will have one year (365 days) access to the course.
What equipment/software will I need to complete the course?
To complete this course, you will only need a computer, an email account, an internet connection, and Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, or Apple Numbers. We will provide with uncertainty calculator that you will use for the course.
It is recommended to have access to test equipment and calibration reports in order to perform an uncertainty analysis during the course.
What do I do if I need help?
If you have a question related to this course, email firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be your instructor throughout the course. As a student, you have direct, personal access to me anytime you need help!
How long is the course?
Plan to take about 3 days to 3 weeks to complete the course. Some people complete the course in 3 days. Most complete it in 21 days.
There are 28 videos totaling over 9 hours of video content. Most videos are 15–30 minutes long, with the shortest video around 6 minutes and the longest about 43 minutes.
Can I pay with PayPal?
Yes. On the checkout page under the “Billing Information” section, select the “Pay with PayPal” button. This will allow you to pay with PayPal.
Can I pay with a Purchase Order?
Yes. You can pay using a purchase order with NET 30 terms. Submit purchase orders to email@example.com. Once approved, students will be manually registered and login information will be emailed directly to the student. To manually register students, we will need the name and email address of each student to create an account and email login information.
Is there a discount for multiple students?
Yes. There is a group discount when 3 or more students join the course. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for a quote to receive the group discount.

Oh no! We don’t want that! We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee. If you are unhappy with the course for any reason, let us know and we will refund your payment within 30 days. We would appreciate notification within the first 7 days of the course.
When does the course start and finish?
The course is offered periodically throughout the year. Typically, we offer training about every other month. Make sure to join our mailing list to receive notifications when the enrollment is available. Once you have enrolled, you have ongoing access and assistance from me. The course is self-paced and you may take as long as you need to complete it.
Can I join the course just to use the videos as a reference?
Yes. You can join the course only to use it as a reference. You do not have to complete the course (although, we recommend you do). Plenty of students join the course only to help them as they create uncertainty budgets for an audit. That is why you get access to the course for 1 year.
READY TO LEARN HOW TO CALCULATE UNCERTAINTY?
Here’s a Final Note (Just in Case You Scrolled to the Bottom).
This is a measurement uncertainty training course for chemistry laboratories that need to estimate uncertainty and create uncertainty budgets for ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation. It has more information than any other measurement uncertainty training courses (available from your accreditation body). My processes are easier to learn and I will show you how to estimate uncertainty (other courses do not offer this). After completing this course, you should expect to be able to easily analyze your own data, estimate uncertainty, create uncertainty budgets, and report uncertainty in your test reports.
But you are free to choose any measurement uncertainty training you like. Whether you want to teach yourself or take a training course with your accreditation body, please pick the learning path that works best for you.
However, I would love for you to join this course. You will learn 10X more in less time. I guarantee it!
The choice is yours.
